I have one cat that has never been a big user of my traditional cat scratching trees, however she LOVES these, and uses them all the time. They are a bit messy, but she has stopped scratching our new recliners, so the mess is a small price to pay.

We were pleasantly surprised when our cat started using the Corrugated Cardboard Scratching Post. She loves the texture and it's protecting our new lounge suite.
This did not turn out the way I expected for my conure. The bar spacing is uneven and in places wide enough for her to escape, and yet in my opinion the cage is too small for a larger bird.
On the other hand it’s attractive and easy to put together
